We are located
at a part of the world where each day brings important events that affect human lives
significantly. These are events that international media feeds on, carrying them to the
television screens of viewers world-wide. Continuing turmoil in Iraq, the never ending
Palestinian and Israeli conflict, bombing of Lebanon by Israel and evacuation of foreign
nationals from Beirut are only a few of the recent troubles in our part of the world.
Natural disasters like killer quakes that hit Turkey and Iran, the conflicts in the
Balkans and Caucasus were also events that attracted the attention of world public opinion
- BBA was there to cover them all. BBA’s base in Istanbul is an excellent jumping-off point for all the main spots where news happens and we serve international broadcasters with live transmissions and tape playouts from wherever the news is happening. The pictures BBA gathers and transmits don’t always come from the world’s trouble spots - there’s a lighter side too. International sporting contests, cultural events and scientific gatherings are also important activities for BBA. BBA is always on standby to pack up and go with its camera and editing teams.
